About APrIGF & TWIGF
The Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) is the key platform for multi-stakeholders to discuss internet public policy issues and strength collaboration in the Asia Pacific region, with the goal of promoting the development of internet governance in the region. Since its inception in 2010, it has been held in cities such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei, attracting more than 200 participants from over 20 countries in the region each year (except during the Covid-19 pandemic). The 2024 forum is scheduled to be held once again in Taipei.
The similar platform to bring a diverse multi-stakeholders together at the domestic level is the Taiwan Internet Governance Forum (TWIGF). Initiated in 2015, it transitioned into a voluntary organization in 2017. Through its annual meetings and other seminar events, it has inspired domestic communities to participate in internet governance and discuss internet policies.
On 20th to 23rd August 2024, APrIGF and TWIGF will be held jointly in Taipei. Sponsors, by participating, will not only gain exposure within the internet governance communities of the Asia Pacific region and Taiwan, engaging with internet pioneers and hundreds of participants, but will also contribute to the development of regional and domestic internet governance.
