With a background in economics, Yi-Shan began her journalist career in 1996. As a financial reporter, she covered financial crisis, economic reform, the privatization of state-owned enterprises, tax issues and moved to international affairs reporting later. She is interested in stories on reform during the democratic transformation of a nation, as well as crony capitalism and the fraud of financial systems. On behalf of CW, she participated several global projects, such as Panama paper, Offshore leak project, with International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Under her leadership, CW concerns the social impacts of incomplete tech governance, including internet, Web 3 and AI.
